Welcome to the new website for Red Hand Defenders Flute Band.
The band has been going since 1979, from which the band has seen quite a few changes up to present day be it members, uniforms and instruments not forgetting the various badges that we’ve had.
History of the Band
Red Hand Defenders Flute Band Newtownstewart was formed in September 1979.
The band was and still is part of the Ulster flute band revolution sweeping Northern Ireland.
